Join ceramic artist Ruth Jones at the EEA in the Eskdalemuir Hub for a welcoming and practical 6-week handbuilding pottery course suitable for everyone - from complete beginners to more experienced potters.
Over six weekly sessions you’ll explore handbuilding techniques, develop your skills and create your own ceramic pieces in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Arts D&G Present, FIRELIGHT TRIO
Firelight Trio is a mighty new group featuring Fatea instrumentalist of the year 2023 Gavin Marwick (fiddle), accordionist Phil Alexander (Moishe’s Bagel), and Ruth Morris (Outlander – HBO) on the beautiful Swedish Nyckelharpa. They play European music that is evocative, inventive, and endlessly exciting. Ruth’s resonant nyckelharpa is matched by Gavin’s powerhouse fiddle, all backed up by Phil’s groovily inventive accordion and piano, in a rich tapestry of lively Swedish polskas and Scottish reels, lilting French waltzes, toe-tapping klezmer, dazzling original tunes and more. Don’t miss them!

An evening of Cheese! Join us for a relaxed and fun-filled evening celebrating cheeses from around the world.
Pick a Country or a County ‘out of our hat’, then go and buy cheese to represent your chosen place and bring it along on the night for everyone to sample, share and enjoy.

Sand, Silt, Flint brings to life the acclaimed album from Aberdeenshire-based singer-producer Fiona Soe Paing, described by Iggy Pop on BBC 6 Music as “advanced and beautiful…” and by Songlines as “a sublimely powerful and lingering experience.” Contemporary re-workings of Northeast Scottish ballads sit alongside innovative compositions inspired by folklore and landscape, drawing audiences into the places and stories behind each song.
