Community Living Room

The Eskdalemuir Community Hub and Old School Cafe has recently joined with Meeting Centres Scotland and become one of their newest Dementia Friendly Social Groups.

Our dementia-friendly social group is open to everyone - you don’t need to have dementia to come along.

This friendly group is led by its members and meets every Tuesday from 11am to 2pm in our Community Living Room, for anyone who feels that they could benefit from socialising with others, have a chat over tea, coffee and biscuits and maybe take part in some activities.

We have been able to bring this group to The Hub thanks to funding from Meeting Centres Scotland. We are hoping to be able to offer more group sessions in the future: this will only happen with ongoing funding. With this in mind, a suggested donation of £3 for coming along to the group would be gratefully received!
