THE COMMUNITY LIVING ROOM
THE COMMUNITY LIVING ROOM
The Eskdalemuir Community Hub and Old School Cafe has recently joined with Meeting Centres Scotland and become one of their newest Dementia Friendly Social Groups.
We meet every Tuesday from 11am-2pm in our ‘Community Living Room’, a drop in session open to everyone who feels that they may benefit from socialising with others, have a chat over tea, coffee and biscuits and maybe take part in some activities. This friendly group is very much a group led by it’s members and as we mentioned before we are dementia friendly but you do not have to have an actual diagnosis of dementia to join us. Why not come along to meet us, bring your family, carers and friends too and let’s see how we can brighten up each others day!

We have been able to bring this group to The Hub with kind funding from Meeting Centres Scotland and we are hoping to be able to eventually offer more group sessions but this will only be able to happen with ongoing funding. With this in mind a suggested donation of £3 for coming along to the group would be gratefully received!

We are looking for volunteers who can come along and help with our group. Could this be you? If so please contact Trudi or Lara for further info!
