Stables Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage situated at Watcarrick in the spectacular scenic valley of Eskdalemuir.

For the moment, we are leaving seven days between bookings for the safety of our guests so that we can deep-clean and air the whole cottage thoroughly.

The cottage has two bedrooms - a standard double downstairs and an airy king-size double bedroom upstairs.

There is a bathroom with an electric shower and a bath. The generous kitchen has a dining table which seats six. It has a washing machine/dryer, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and all the usual things you would expect in a kitchen.
Central heating is provided by an attractive solid fuel stove in the living room, which provides lots of piping hot water. It is also great to sit round. There is an immersion heater and back-up electric radiators if the fire is not lit.

There is a fully-enclosed garden to the rear of the cottage which is very private and, in the right conditions, a sun trap.
There is ample parking in the yard.
We have a high speed WIFI connection. There is a TV and a DVD player, with DVDs for adults and children. There is also a selection of games, books and maps.
Stables cottage is two and a half miles from the world-famous Samye Ling Tibetan Centre, and is positioned in the heart of beautiful walks and cycle routes directly from the property, with many more a short drive away.

Firewood, coal, electricity, towels and bedding are included in the price, and we are happy to light the fire in advance so that the house is cosy when you arrive.

Stables cottage is non smoking inside, but we don't mind guests smoking outside.
Well behaved pets are welcome, but must not be left unattended in the cottage. They must also be on leads except in the garden, as there are free-range chickens in the grounds, plus sheep and cattle in the nearby fields.
We ask owners to clean up after their pets, and we supply bags and a bin for this purpose. We often get children staying, so this is important.
We hope you will decide to come and visit Stables cottage. We will make you very welcome.
We do not accept bookings from visitors coming to Eskdalemuir to practice blood sports.
