ART EXHIBITION - RUNNING THROUGHOUT MAY
The 'ANIMUS' exhibition includes work by eight Artists, including locally based Shenpen Chökyi and Cathy Sidhu.
Within the exhibition we have story telling by Elinor Predota ‘The Soul of the Land’. Elinor re-imagines and retells the story of the Cailleach, Bride and Angus, who together, in their dance from winter to summer and back again, are Scotland’s ancient soul.
The 'Sound Environment' is by Electroacoustic Composer, Claire Fox. More information on Claire Fox and her work can be found at http://www.epona.co.uk
Not to be missed!
COMMUNITY SHOP - NOW OPEN!
Selling local produce, daily essentials, local crafts, confectionery and more!
We are encouraged by the response from everyone who's visited the shop so far!
To date, our best selling items are: milk, Eskdalemuir Honey, firelighters, toilet rolls, tobacco and when available, freshly baked bread. We really hope you will come along and support your community shop, as it’s ‘use it or lose it’ and we are working hard to make it a sustainable part of the community.
If anyone wishes to volunteer to be part of this exciting new venture please contact our Shop Committee member May Reid on:
