Happenings at the Eskdalemuir Hub for



JULY 1st-29th:  EXHIBITION OF THE MONTH - This month's exhibition is of creativity by two friends Alice and Alma showing recent works in Watercolours and Pastels.  Alice Patterson

from Galashiels will be showing her beautiful paintings of flowers and pastels of animals. Alma Dowle from Ettrick will also have Watercolours and Pastels and some of her Ceramics. We hope you enjoy seeing how much the Borders inspire us.


SUNDAY Lunches – Delicious and affordable – every Sunday!


Monday 2nd, 6pm—7.30pm:  YOGA.  (weekly in 6-week blocks)

Lead by Hanna Casement.  Sessions generally once a week in in six-week blocks.  Hanna will let us know if there are breaks in this schedule. Open for all, including beginners.   £6.


Thursday 5th & Thursday 19th:  1 – 3pm. WRITERS GROUP.

The Esk Valley Scribblers, organised by Eskdalemuir Expressive Arts, aim to harness our creativity to make an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Just turn up. Fortnightly. Free.


Tuesday 10th 1.15pm:  The monthly MEET & EAT GROUP LUNCH.

Open to all. Meat, gluten free and vegetarian food available. Tasty and fun. Please book at 013873 73760 or Cost £3.50.


Friday 13th 7.30 – 9.30pm.  SINGING WORKSHOP

The monthly Jazz & Improv vocal workshop with Jilly Jarman.  Newcomers always welcomed. Come and dip your toe in the water, no experience in jazz or improvisation necessary. We sing songs, play around with rhythms and grooves, experiment with harmonies and words and explore different ways of using our voices. A lot of fun! £7.50

Café/Bar Open – last orders 8pm.


Saturday14th / Sunday 15th and on other occasions by request:   TV Showing of Cup Final and Wimbledon Finals.  Cream Teas served on both afternoons.  Café & Bar Open.


Saturday 21st, 8pm.    TALK:  We are delighted to welcome Philip Munro from the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project to talk about the plans to introduce these magnificent birds to Dumfries and Galloway.
Pre-talk food will be available and the bar will be open.
